Every child is a fairy tale, and every fairy tale is a small step in a child's growth. In every cloud-like fantasy story, in every rain-like fresh text, and in every rainbow-like vibrant illustration, there hides what every child cannot do without: pure friendship, an adventurous spirit, busy happiness, and sweet happiness.
This book is one of the three long fairy tales in the "Lanlan Fairy Tale Series" created by the poet Lanlan. It tells the story of a group of brave tank soldiers and is an original Chinese fairy tale. Lanlan's fairy tales express a profound understanding of nature and the spiritual world, far beyond the experience of children and ordinary people. Her fairy tales have a broad perspective and rational depth, reflecting the realities of life and the confusion of humanity from different angles. These fairy tales not only find the truth of the heart for her but also for all of us, restoring our ability to love. Fairy tales uphold the dignity of good humanity, mocking and despising the powerful, the savage, and the autocratic—as it was in the time of Hans Christian Andersen, and it remains so today.
Due to his bravery in battle, the Armored Division Commander awarded the the title of "First-Class Combat Hero" and pinned a pair of shiny captain's shoulder boards onto his shoulders—the turret. However, the captain whose turret had been knocked askew was sent to the workshop for repairs and temporarily unable to continue fighting. Along with a group of lightly wounded tank soldiers, he left his beloved barracks and was sent to a mountain near the border as an emergency reserve force, hidden deep within a cave. The heartbroken almost burst into tears, but when he saw the "retired" Bing Uncle among them, he didn't dare to complain. Why? Because Bing Uncle was a famous veteran tank soldier in the entire army. Of course, he wasn't a tank—he was a man with a thick beard. Many years ago, before smart tanks—tanks that could drive and fight on their own—existed, he was already an experienced driving technician.
Bing Uncle had participated in countless battles, earning numerous medals, and his driving and repair skills were renowned throughout the armored division. So, when Bing Uncle silently packed his bags and walked with them, the had no choice but to obediently open his driving window and let the stern-faced Bing Uncle sit inside.
—and that's where our story begins.
