Main Character: Chu Xiaoran, a junior, the iron-willed president of the student union, a figure of widespread admiration.
Female Lead: Duan Ke, a freshman, a cat-like girl, clumsy, cute, and money-obsessed. How could the much-admired Chu Xiaoran fall for such a girl? Clumsy, an otaku, and money-obsessed (I say Xiao Xiao, how do I describe your taste). An angel-like boy falling for such a foolish girl—what a fate!
Because of a dollar (), on the first day of school, Duan Ke, still half-asleep, paid Chu Xiaoran one yuan in bus fare. After that, she embarked on a long and arduous journey to get that dollar back (sweat! Xiao Ke Ke, you’re a bit stingy, I say). During this time, she mistakenly believed that Chu Xiaoran liked boys and became extremely interested in him. Chu Xiaoran, to clarify his sexual orientation, started a series of arduous efforts under the meddling of his close buddies and tormentors (wipes a tear, Xiao Xiao is truly pitiful).
