Features: The new edition of "Sketching" textbook was developed in response to the urgent needs of young art enthusiasts. It is an updated and improved version based on the original "Sketching" textbook. Over the past five years, the "Sketching" textbook has led thousands of young people into the realm of art and the doors of art academies, producing a broad impact. Although the primary target audience remains young students, we strive for meticulous quality in art education, emphasizing both patient instruction and high-standard demonstrations. To this end, four experienced senior teachers from the Shanghai University of Art and Design and Tongji University were organized to co-author this book. The new edition of "Sketching" aligns with the psychological and artistic cognitive patterns of young people, catering to the current scope of various professional exams in secondary and higher art institutions, as well as the requirements of candidates. It is divided into four volumes: "Geometric Solids and Plaster Still Life," "Plaster Portraits," "Plaster Heads and Chest Portraits," and "Portrait Sketching." The content progresses from simple to complex, following a gradual and systematic approach, making it highly beneficial for beginners' training.
