"The Farmer and the Snake": The farmer found a frozen snake in the winter and felt sorry for it, so he picked it up and put it in his arms. When the snake warmed up, it reverted to its nature and bit the farmer. As the farmer was dying, he said, "I should have died for even pitying that villain." This story illustrates that evil people do not change, even if others are very kind to them.
"The Wolf and the Lamb": The wolf saw a little lamb drinking water in the river and wanted to use a clever excuse to eat it. Therefore, he stood upstream and accused the lamb, saying it had made the water (muddy) and prevented him from drinking. The lamb replied that it was drinking right next to the river and, being downstream, could not have made the water (muddy). The wolf could not find this excuse, so he said, "But you cursed my father last year." The lamb said, "I was not even born then." The wolf said to him, "Even if you argue well, I cannot let you go." This story shows that for those who are determined to do injustice, reasonable arguments are useless.
