Features: Have you ever heard strange howls in the middle of the night? Have you ever heard footsteps in the dark—yet couldn’t see anyone? Have you seen eerie and terrifying shadows, with eyes watching you from the gloom, or heard someone calling your name from behind? If so, you should understand that strange tingling sensation—the kind that gives you goosebumps and leaves you frozen with fear. In these books, ghosts whisper from the attics; frightened children suddenly become invisible; scarecrows come to life and wander through the fields; and dolls and puppets also have life, scaring people everywhere.
The Devil’s Mask Bai Jiali is a bit timid, and her friends often tease her by playing all sorts of jokes, making her scream in fear just for their amusement. Bai Jiali feels very annoyed and decides to wear a scary mask on Halloween to scare them back. However, an unfortunate incident occurs: Bai Jiali’s mask "Be Careful What You Wish For" Samantha Bird is tall and has a great basketball physique, but unfortunately, she is a bit clumsy and often trips. As a result, the girls’ basketball team members often tease her. Especially Judy Bellwood always picks on her, making her look foolish both on and off the court. Samantha really hates Judy.
