Features: The classic harmony distribution principle ultimately guides the design from street squares to perfume bottles. This dedication to research is also reflected in the process of architecture, especially in the use of building materials. The use of prefabricated concrete in situ structures has had an extraordinary impact. The only one comparable to Taller Arquitectos' use of concrete is Louis Kahn, who achieved the same effect through different methods. This persistent exploration spirit has kept Taller Arquitectos at the forefront of creative design, while also bringing significant changes. In the 1980s, Taller Arquitectos affirmed both classic forms and contemporary architectural geometric principles. Therefore, the need to combine limited models to create a wide variety of forms promoted the research of prefabricated concrete panels or in situ molds (used to place concrete during the curing process). In the 1990s, Taller Arquitectos applied steel and glass to building materials, marking a new stage in the development of their design style. This is merely the inevitable result of persistent research on design patterns and materials. The selected projects and architectural designs (not yet a catalog) in this book adopt different approaches to solve problems, including some of the most famous buildings in the history of Taller Arquitectos. The different chapters of the book showcase the continuous development of Taller Arquitectos from its inception to the 1990s. The book covers a wide range of projects, from the development of public spaces closely related to people to the design of everyday items.
