Features: "Insect Paradise" features no war, no killing, no scheming or deceit. It can be said that this is the comic version of Jean-Henri Fabre's "The Insect World." However, the characters are all cartoonish insects. Mario the toad, who smokes cigarettes and stares fiercely at his prey; Moscaudo the moody mosquito, who constantly runs into walls and faces misfortune; Emma the arrogant and fussy butterfly; Charlie the gluttonous and lazy beetle; the stern spider teacher, Madame Aranea; and the kind and gentle ant, Florm, who is always tricked by others—all are hilarious. This comic uses personification to describe a fairy-tale world of insects, with extraordinary imagination, vibrant and rich colors, exaggerated plots, and witty language. The insects depicted, such as flies, mosquitoes, butterflies, and spiders, are all deeply humanized. Their joys, sorrows, loves, and hatreds move the readers' hearts. After reading it, one feels as if they have stepped into a humanized world of insects.
