This book is both connected to and different from the one I co-planned and edited, "The Complete Collection of Modern Chinese Art · Comic Volume." The connection lies in some works being shared between the two, while the difference is that only this book provides detailed comments and introductions to the selected works. There are also some works that were not suitable or possible to include in the "Comic Volume." This book is also connected to and different from the one I co-authored with Mr. Bi Kequan a decade and a half ago, "History of Chinese Comics." The "History of Comics" covers history up to 1949 and does not involve comics after the founding of the People's Republic of China. The writing methods are also different.
