Features: During the long summer vacation, Harry Potter was trapped at Number 4, Grimmauld Place, where he was unexpectedly attacked by Dementors. Escaping with a narrow escape, Harry was taken to a secret location in London, where he met his godfather Sirius Black, his former Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher Lupin, Mad-Eye Moody, and his friends Hermione and Ron. He only knew that Dumbledore and the members of the Order of the Phoenix were intensifying their secret activities to counter the increasingly powerful Voldemort. However, no one was willing to reveal more details to him. Harry arrived at Hogwarts in confusion and anger, but to his surprise, Dumbledore refused to see him, and Hagrid was nowhere to be found. Worse still, Harry began to see a long corridor in his dreams more frequently. Every time he was about to enter the door at the end of the corridor, he would jolt awake from the dream with a splitting headache, feeling as though a large snake was writhing inside him.
The Ministry of Magic sent an arrogant senior investigator who interfered in all school affairs and ultimately drove Dumbledore away as, injured Professor McGonagall, plunging the entire school into chaos and oppression. The shadow of the snake became clearer in Harry’s mind as Voldemort drew closer. At this moment, Dumbledore revealed a great secret to him...
Chapter 7: Dobby Meets the Dementor
Summer had almost come to an end on a scorching day. The square, imposing houses on Grimmauld Place were shrouded in a drowsy silence. The normally gleaming cars were now dusty, parked on the driveways. The once lush green lawns had turned yellow—due to the drought, the watering hoses had been banned. The residents of Grimmauld Place, who usually spent their time polishing cars and mowing lawns, had no choice but to retreat indoors, keeping their windows wide open, hoping to catch a breeze that didn’t exist.
Only one person remained outdoors—a teenage boy, lying flat on the flowerbed outside Number 4, Grimmauld Place. He was a thin boy with black hair and glasses, looking frail and somewhat ill, as if he had grown too quickly in a short time. His jeans were ragged and dirty, his T-shirt loose and faded, and the laces of his sneakers had come undone. Harry Potter’s appearance was unlikely to win the neighbors’ favor. They believed that being ragged and untidy should be illegal.
However, he managed to hide behind a large bush that evening, so passersby wouldn’t notice him. In reality, if his uncle Vernon or aunt Petunia peered out the window of the living room and looked straight down into the flowerbed, they still might spot him. Overall, Harry felt fortunate that he had thought of hiding here. Lying on the hard, hot earth wasn’t comfortable, but on the other hand, no one would glare at him, grind their teeth, make it impossible to hear the news, or bombard him with annoying questions. Every time he tried to sit in the living room with his aunt and uncle to watch TV, they always bothered him.
