A Study of the Ming Dynasty Post Station (Revised Edition)

Author: Yang Zhengtai
Publisher:
Publish Date: 2006-11-01
Features: This book's first edition, published in early 1994, includes the research work "A Study of the Ming Dynasty Post Stations," as well as appendices compiling two Ming Dynasty commercial books, "Yitong Lusheng Tujì" and "Shi Shang Le Yao." Due to its limited print run, it has long been out of print. Given its research value in geography, cartography, meteorology, economics, history, and sociology, scholars both domestically and internationally have repeatedly called for a reissue. In light of this, the author and the publisher have decided to publish the revised edition of this book. The author has written a new preface for the revised edition, added the newly compiled official Ming Dynasty geographical atlas "Huanyu Tongqu," corrected errors in the first edition, and hopes to meet the urgent needs of relevant readers. This reissue includes: 1) a newly written preface for the revised edition; 2) corrections of errors in the first edition; 3) a unified collation style for the main text and appendices; 4) the addition of the appendix "Huanyu Tongqu." Other changes are minimal.
