About the Author: Zhou Mingde is a senior engineer at the professorial level. Born in 1936 in Zhoushan, Zhejiang, he graduated from Tsinghua University's Department of Automation and Control in 1959 and joined the university as a teacher. In 1982, he moved to the China Computer Technology Service Company. In 1989, he was promoted to the rank of senior engineer and held positions such as Deputy Director of the Training Department, Deputy Chief Engineer, and Chief Engineer of the company. In 1976, he collaborated with Beijing Electric Power Construction Company to develop the "Fully Position Automatic Welding Machine for Alloy Steel Thick-Walled Pipes in Main Steam Pipelines," which won the National Science and Technology Conference Award in 1978. In 1981, he developed the "Numerical Control Pulse-Hydrogen-Arc Welding Fully Position Welding Machine," which received the Beijing Science and Technology Achievement Award. He authored "Hardware, Software, and Applications of Microcomputers" (Tsinghua University Press, 1982), which won the National Outstanding Science and Technology Book Award in 1983. He also edited "Principles and Applications of IBM-PC (0520) Microcomputer" (Tsinghua University Press, 1985), "Interface Circuits of Microcomputers" (Tsinghua University Press, 1986), "High-End Microcomputers (Volume 1)" (Tsinghua University Press, 1987), and "High-End Microcomputers (Volume 2)" (Tsinghua University Press, 1989). In 1985, he served as the main lecturer for the "Principles and Applications of Microcomputers" course at the Central Radio & Television University, writing the textbook "Hardware, Software, and Applications of Microcomputers (Compressed Edition)." In 1992, he became the main lecturer for the "Microcomputer Technology" course at the Central Radio & Television University, writing the textbook "Microcomputer Technology" (China Central Radio & Television University Press, 1992). In 1998, he served as the main lecturer for the "Principles and Applications of Microcomputers" course at the Central Radio & Television University, writing the textbook "Principles and Applications of Microcomputers." In 1994, he was recognized as a National Outstanding Lecturer for the Central Radio & Television University.
