Features: The basic principles of this textbook's compilation are guided by modern nursing theory and framed by the nursing process, emphasizing fundamental theoretical knowledge, basic practical skills, and basic attitudes and methods. The goal is to enable students, through studying this textbook, to apply modern nursing theory and technology to provide care for children, families, and communities, thereby promoting children's healthy growth, preventing childhood diseases, and facilitating the recovery of sick children. The book consists of fourteen chapters, with Chapters 1 to 5 primarily focusing on children's health care and basic pediatric nursing; Chapters 6 to 14 cover the care of sick children. At the end of the book, there is an "Internship Guide" for reference by nursing students during their practical training in different regions. In each chapter on the care of common pediatric diseases, after briefly introducing the general of each disease, the nursing content is presented in accordance with the steps of the nursing process. The nursing diagnosis section references the 128 nursing diagnoses developed by NANDA in 1994 and the 20 revised nursing diagnoses/problems by the National Nursing Diagnosis/Problem Research Group in 1998. Since the textbook is designed to introduce nursing care for diseases rather than specific patients, the presentation of nursing diagnoses in the form of nursing diagnoses seems inappropriate. Therefore, this book uses a special "Nursing Diagnosis/Problem" format for expression. Additionally, in terms of curriculum content, the proportion of nursing has been increased, and content related to psychology, society, and health education has been added.
