Features: The Forest Dialogue Mechanism is a multi-stakeholder platform established by the State Forestry Administration to explore sustainable forest management and mobilize various forces to address China's forest issues. In terms of strengthening forestry policy and plan formulation, it seeks cooperation and coordination among all parties, emphasizing participatory mechanisms, formulating cross-departmental overall forestry policies and national key engineering development plans, and highlighting the enhancement of multilateral and bilateral international cooperation. It promotes the formulation and implementation of forestry sustainability development plans for other countries. In forest conservation, it emphasizes establishing new cooperative mechanisms, maximizing the consideration of the interests of local communities, respecting local people's traditional customs and lifestyles, and fully mobilizing the participation of forest owners, local communities, and all sectors of society in the planning, maintenance, and management of protected areas. In implementing the forestry sustainability development strategy, it encourages the establishment of forest management stakeholder consultation mechanisms at national, regional, and operational levels, establishing and improving public participation methods and mechanisms, and promoting the integration of different interest groups, multiple departments, and multidisciplinary approaches into forestry sustainability development policies, plans, implementation, and evaluation. Strengthening cooperation with international organizations, through forest issue dialogues, absorbs international society and various forces in China to address current forest protection and management issues in China, achieving harmony and sustainability in forest areas, and ultimately realizing the sustainability of forestry.
