Features: This book is a companion to "Advanced Training Course for High School Chemistry Competition (Real Simulation and A, B Levels)." The purpose of writing this book is to further cultivate and train students' problem-solving thinking, skills, and methods. Considering that problem-solving in chemistry competitions involves both knowledge level and problem-solving methods, the book is divided into two special sections to introduce these aspects separately. Each chapter in both sections includes three sub-sections:
[Selected Competition Problems] Selects typical competition problems related to the topic, focusing on using problem-solving strategies and techniques to obtain results. It guides students on how to find the solution method rather than directly providing the answer.
[Case Analysis] Demonstrates problem-solving techniques using self-selected and self-authored problems that are typical or outstanding in competitions. It shows students how to approach the problem from the problem statement, such as how to utilize information, how to verify results, and how to avoid unnecessary detours, etc.
[Simulation Practice] Selects a large number of problems for students to self-test, allowing them to assess the rationality and appropriateness of their problem-solving methods and thinking. In terms of knowledge level, the problems reflect difficulty, novelty, and typicality to broaden their horizons and enhance their ability to comprehensively apply knowledge. Each chapter includes reference answers, and most simulation practice problems also provide additional hints. This book can be used as a dedicated resource for high school chemistry competitions or as a reference for chemistry teachers in teaching and research.
