Features: Brief introduction This textbook is designed with a focus on the current state of nursing education and practice in China, centered on human health, oriented towards holistic nursing, and structured around the nursing process. It is organized into six aspects: nursing assessment, common nursing diagnoses/problems, nursing goals, nursing interventions, nursing evaluation, and health education. To cultivate students' comprehensive analytical, thinking, and judgment skills, the textbook presents the nursing care content for different diseases with varying emphasis and detail. For example, in the chapter on "Nursing Care for Patients with Acute Abdominal Pain," since the etiology of acute abdominal pain involves diseases of internal medicine, surgery, and gynecology, and its clinical manifestations and outcomes vary depending on the primary disease and triggers, the nursing assessment in this chapter provides detailed descriptions and analyses to guide students in developing a horizontal, comprehensive analytical approach. To reduce repetition, the nursing care sections for some diseases only mention common nursing diagnoses/problems and nursing interventions. Nursing diagnoses are proposed based on the reference to North American nursing diagnoses, combined with domestic nursing practice, focusing on common nursing diagnoses or problems in surgery.
