Features: During the Chinese People's War of Liberation and the early years of the founding of the People's Republic of China, the People's Liberation Army had a main force that was renowned both at home and abroad—the Field Army. In this heroic unit, thousands of brave and capable commanders emerged. To commemorate the 80th anniversary of the birth of the People's Liberation Army, the compilers of this book have chosen to narrate the stories of 10 such commanders. These 10 individuals were not necessarily the highest-ranking or most decorated in the First Field Army, but they all shared the qualities of wisdom, bravery, determination, and decisiveness. They were all loyal to the Party and dedicated to the people, ready to lay down their lives for the cause. They had once commanded vast armies with invincible prowess, and their stories were filled with legends. The tales of their growth and battles are deeply moving and inspiring. The book aims to be objective and accurate, highlighting the brilliant segments of these ten generals' lives while also reflecting their life experiences. It is both engaging and informative, yet maintains scientific rigor.
