Features: Newly Compiled College German was organized and compiled by the German Group of the National Advisory Committee on College Foreign Language Teaching, based on the College German Teaching Syllabus (Second Edition) approved by the Ministry of Education. In 2000, it was designated as a key project under the "New Century Higher Education Teaching Reform Project" by the Ministry of Education, and in 2002, it was included in the National Plan for General Higher Education (the 15th Five-Year Plan). Following the teaching principle of classified guidance proposed in the Syllabus, the writing team designed the student textbook into Newly Compiled College German, Newly Compiled College German Vocabulary Practice, and Newly Compiled College German Reading Training, covering all the teaching tasks stipulated in the Syllabus. Newly Compiled College German Vocabulary Practice is a supplementary book for Newly Compiled College English. The set consists of four volumes, with each volume containing ten units written in the order of the texts in Newly Compiled College German. In addition to the exercises for the ten units, each volume also includes two self-assessment tests (Test 1/2). The key vocabulary practiced in each unit is from the Level 4 vocabulary in the College German Teaching Syllabus (Second Edition). The scope of the exercises includes: memorization and review of unit-themed vocabulary, vocabulary usage, synonyms, fixed collocations of verbs and adjectives, word formation, vocabulary expansion, etc. In terms of exercise formats, various forms such as picture selection, sentence-making, translation, word puzzles, sentence completion, dialogue completion, sentence rewriting, fill-in-the-blanks, and fun tests are adopted. Teachers can use it as classroom or homework assignments based on the teaching hours.
