Features: Huanggang High School, founded in 1904 in Huanggang, Hubei Province, was designated as a key high school in Hubei Province in 1953 and was awarded the title of "Advanced Unit in the National Education System" in 1986. In 2002, it was recognized as an "Advanced Unit in the National Spiritual Civilization Construction."
Huanggang High School upholds the educational philosophy of "putting people first and establishing the school on virtue," forming the distinctive educational feature of "comprehensive development + special talents." It has explored a teaching style characterized by "seeking truth, refinement, uniqueness, and innovation." The outstanding performance in college entrance exams and competitions is an inevitable result of its long-term implementation of quality education and only one aspect of its abundant teaching achievements.
When it comes to cultivating students, what magic formula does Huanggang High School possess? What is its ability to turn sand into a tower? What is its skill in transforming ordinary into extraordinary? These are questions I often hear. To think that Huanggang High School merely follows the of college entrance exams and passively engages in test-taking is incorrect. Huanggang High School does not advocate rote memorization or passive problem-solving. If it has any exceptional qualities, it lies in its ability to fully understand the intentions of test-setters and deeply grasp the underlying principles, making it a leader rather than a blind follower.
Huanggang High School does not oppose teachers immersing themselves in a sea of problems but strongly advocates that students break free from it. It opposes students doing mechanical, simple, repetitive, and tedious exercises but requires them to complete necessary ones. We encourage students to tackle flexible, diverse, and widely applicable problems, allowing them to enrich their knowledge, develop skills, and enhance their qualities through the process of solving them.
If there is any other success Huanggang High School has achieved, it is that while cultivating and nurturing a large number of outstanding students, it has also forged its teaching staff, creating renowned master teachers in Hubei Province. These teachers possess profound scientific and cultural literacy, innovative educational concepts, unique teaching styles, artistic skills, and remarkable teaching achievements.
To showcase the talents of Huanggang High School teachers and share their teaching results, we have organized and carefully planned the writing of three series of books: "Huanggang High School Homework Books," "Huanggang High School Exam Papers," and "Huanggang High School Middle School Entrance Exam Comprehensive Review." The series "Huanggang High School 2007 College Entrance Exam First and Second Round Training Questions" adopts a "full simulation" format to highlight its features. Whether in open-ended or conventional question types, the quantity and difficulty are designed to closely align with the college entrance exams, emphasizing innovation and practicality.
Targeting the different time periods and characteristics of the first, second, and third rounds of the college entrance exams, we have positioned the first-round training questions as unit exercises, the second-round training questions as thematic exercises, and the third-round training questions as simulated tests. This allows us to comprehensively and progressively address the problems students encounter during the three rounds of review from three perspectives and levels.
Part of the content of this series is derived from internal teaching materials and exchanges with friendly schools, while the other part is newly supplemented based on recent changes in college entrance exam questions. These materials are now compiled and published for the first time, making their debut publicly.
This series also reflects the following writing philosophy and features:
1. Appropriate exercise positioning: In terms of exercise arrangement, this series focuses on reinforcing and improving the knowledge points, question types, and methods related to the exam content. The complexity and difficulty of the questions gradually progress toward the college entrance exams in a step-by-step manner.
2. Detailed solution hints: The answers at the back of the book are appropriately detailed, with more thorough explanations provided for difficult questions. The well-placed hints in the series often play a pivotal role.
This series emphasizes the originality and quality of the questions written by the authors. Rigorous review and proofreading are conducted at every stage to strive to make it a unique gem in the educational supplement market.
