Features: Huanggang High School, founded in 1904 in Huanggang, Hubei Province, was designated as a key high school in Hubei Province in 1953 and was awarded the title of "Advanced Unit in the National Education System" in 1986. In 2002, it was recognized as an "Advanced Unit in National Spiritual Civilization Construction." Huanggang High School upholds the educational philosophy of "people-oriented, virtue-based education," forming the distinctive educational feature of "comprehensive development + special talents." It has explored a teaching style characterized by "seeking truth, striving for excellence, embracing diversity, and pursuing innovation." The outstanding performance in college entrance exams and competitions is an inevitable result of its long-term implementation of quality-oriented education, and only one aspect of its abundant teaching achievements. When it comes to cultivating students, what magic formula does Huanggang High School possess? What is its ability to turn sand into a tower? What is its skill to turn stone into gold? These are questions I often hear. To think that Huanggang High School merely follows the of college entrance exams and passively adapts to testing is incorrect. Huanggang High School does not advocate rote memorization or passive problem-solving. If it has any exceptional qualities, it lies in its ability to fully understand the intentions of test setters and profoundly grasp the underlying principles, becoming a leader rather than a blind follower. Huanggang High School does not oppose teachers immersing themselves in a sea of problems but strongly advocates that students break free from it. It opposes students doing mechanical, simple, repetitive, and monotonous exercises but requires them to complete necessary ones. We encourage students to engage in flexible and diverse problems with broad applications, allowing them to enrich their knowledge, develop skills, and enhance their qualities in the process of problem-solving. If Huanggang High School has any other successes, it is that while cultivating and nurturing a large number of outstanding students, it has also forged its teaching staff, creating renowned master teachers in Hubei Province. These teachers possess deep scientific and cultural literacy, innovative educational concepts, unique teaching styles, artistic skills, and abundant teaching achievements. To showcase the talents of Huanggang High School teachers and share their teaching results, we have organized and carefully planned the writing of three series of books: "Huanggang High School Homework Books," "Huanggang High School Exam Papers," and "Huanggang High School 2006 College Entrance Exam Training Series (Rounds 1 and 2)." The "Huanggang High School Homework Books" series is based on the "Teaching Syllabus" and "Exam Syllabus," highlighting the role of "homework" in the process of students forming learning abilities, problem-solving skills, and exam-taking skills, reflecting the inevitable connection between Huanggang High School students' brilliant performance in various exams and their rigorous daily practice. This series features a carefully designed format, including four major sections: "Pre-Class Warm-up," "In-Class Homework," "After-Class Homework," and "Exam Online," providing intensive training to enhance students' abilities. It also has the following features: 1. Appropriate exercise positioning: In terms of exercise arrangement, this series focuses on consolidating and progressively improving the knowledge points, exam topics, question types, and methods. The positioning of the series is to help students elevate their problem-solving skills through progressive exercises in the form of ability-based, open-ended, applied, and comprehensive types. 2. Moderate difficulty gradient: The ratio of basic, intermediate, and difficult questions in this series is 6:3:1, making it suitable for the use of the vast majority of middle schools. Most questions are labeled with A, B, or C to indicate their difficulty levels, ensuring appropriate and clear requirements. 3. Detailed solution hints: The answers at the back of the book are appropriately detailed, with more thorough solutions provided for difficult questions. It is particularly worth mentioning that the well-timed hints sometimes play a pivotal role. This series emphasizes the originality and quality of the authors' exercises, with rigorous review and proofreading at every stage, striving to become a unique gem in the supplementary education market.
