Features: With the development of society and the opening of the economy, legal education reform has gradually moved away from the confines of pure conceptual jurisprudence and is trending toward case studies. This aligns with the global trend where the role of case law is becoming increasingly prominent in the development of the rule of law. In a civil law country like China, the study of case law holds growing importance in legal education. At the same time, practice has shown that the reform of legal textbooks is one of the key aspects of legal education reform. Thin and rigid legal textbooks based on abstract doctrines can no longer meet the shortcomings of legal statutes and classic jurisprudence. It can be said that legal education and legal textbooks without case involvement are incomplete. The late renowned Chinese civil law scholar Tong Rou once said that civil law is a physiological phenomenon of society. Everyone is constantly immersed in civil law relationships. Some scholars also compare civil law studies to a magnificent and solemn tripod; its vastness and depth are boundless, often leaving us, the younger generation of scholars, in awe of the immense effort required to grasp its intricacies. Due to the well-known theoretical depth and complex theoretical system of civil law studies, teachers often find it more challenging than other legal disciplines to make their lectures more profound yet accessible, vivid, and easier for students to understand.
