Features: The origin of Mongolian veterinary medicine can be traced back to the northern regions of China, primarily the Mongolian Plateau. The Mongolian ancestors who lived on the Mongolian Plateau, from ancient times engaged in hunting as the main livelihood of hunting and pastoral economy, underwent thousands of years of development, transforming into a grassland pastoral economy that combines nomadism and agriculture, and created a renowned grassland pastoral culture. However, one of the aspects of the grassland pastoral culture, Mongolian veterinary medicine and technology, developed along with the needs of pastoral production. It was created through the successive research, inheritance, and promotion by numerous ethnic groups such as the Beidi, Xiongnu, Xianbei, Uyghur, Khitan, Jurchen, and Mongol who lived in the northern regions of ancient China in different dynasties during the processes of hunting, nomadism, and agricultural production. Mongolian veterinary medicine is a part of the Chinese national culture and an important component of traditional Chinese veterinary medicine. The development of Mongolian veterinary medicine is closely related to Chinese veterinary medicine (Traditional Chinese Medicine) and Tibetan veterinary medicine (Tibetan Medicine). This is because over thousands of years, the Chinese nation has used Han culture (Han characters) as a bond to facilitate mutual exchange and promotion among ethnic groups in various aspects such as economy, culture, and technology, collectively forging and developing the great Chinese national culture. At the same time, this has also driven the development and promotion of the traditional cultures of each ethnic group.
