Author: (Japanese) Tatsuo Tadashi, translated by Lü Yi, Ma Qingjiu, and Li Zongfang
Publisher:
Publishing Date: 2006-12-01
Features: In some cases, individual differences among patients are the key to determining surgical outcomes, but there are few surgical based on case analyses. This book fills the gap in the field of hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgery. Previous mostly described traditional surgical techniques, such as right hepatectomy for liver cancer patients and pancreaticoduodenectomy for pancreatic head cancer patients, without considering the individualized needs of specific cases. Patients with the same degree of tumor spread often have significant individual differences. Through the summary of their clinical experience, the authors hope to provide insights for surgeons from past cases, enabling them to develop individualized surgical approaches that suit each patient. Of the approximately 80 cases in this book, most involve late-stage cancer patients, but by selecting appropriate individualized surgical techniques, they all achieved satisfactory surgical outcomes.
