Features: Etiquette norms and social legal norms both belong to the superstructure, but they are not identical. Law is coercive, maintained by social judicial organs relying on the state machinery. Etiquette, on the other hand, is a moral expression built upon social legal norms, driven and realized by people's concepts, customs, and traditional and modern civilized thoughts. The construction of the legal system is indispensable; without it, society would fall into chaos, and various forms of crime would paralyze it. Similarly, etiquette norms are also essential. Without etiquette, people would lose civilization and reason, and crudeness and ugliness would replace politeness and beauty, ultimately filling society with evil. The material civilization, political civilization, and spiritual civilization of socialism are the driving forces for the advancement of Chinese-style socialism. The Party's "16th National Congress" has drawn a beautiful blueprint for our socialist cause. We are full of confidence in the future. Our passion and confidence stem from the strong leadership of the Communist Party of China and the trust of the entire nation in the central leadership headed by General Secretary Hu Jintao, from the great unity and unwavering belief of the Chinese people in strengthening the nation and achieving national rejuvenation, from the vibrant vitality of the land of China and the great achievements in the construction of socialist modernization, and also from the promotion of modern etiquette thoughts and practices. Modern civilized etiquette thoughts will transform into immense material and spiritual forces driving society forward, eradicating all old customs and habits, and greatly promoting the development of socialist spiritual civilization.
