"Flying Tiger Moon Flower" is a unique flower that blooms on the China-US Friendship Highway. She was nurtured in the flames of battle where the Chinese and American people fought side by side during the Anti-Japanese War. She blossoms in the new era of China-US relations in the 21st century. The biography Flying Tiger Moon Flower depicts a true and moving legend that took place on the Yunnan plateau. Huang Huaihao—a beautiful young woman from Macau, a pure Hong Kong nurse—traveled to the red earth plateau of Yunnan to save the nation from peril, becoming a nurse for the American Flying Tigers. Amidst the flames of the anti-Fascist war, she, along with the pilots of the Flying Tigers, colleagues from the American military hospital, and the soldiers of the Chinese Expeditionary Force, performed a touching legend on our beloved red earth plateau of Yunnan, using their youth, blood, and love. It is a moving poem of Chinese sons and daughters united in hatred of the enemy, dedicating themselves to national liberation, a triumphant anthem of the common fight against Japanese Fascism by the Chinese and American people, and a beautiful story where the sun flower and moon flower bloom together.
The biographical literary work Flying Tiger Moon Flower is imbued with profound emotions, describing the ups and downs of the fate of an ordinary woman through nearly a century of historical turmoil, as well as her journey in pursuing knowledge, ideals, and love. Unlike other literary works on similar themes, it does not directly depict the war or present the brutal scenes of swordplay, blood, and thunder. Instead, it fully portrays the personal fate and experiences of an ordinary woman during the war to reveal the great driving force behind this sacred anti-Fascist war. This "driving force" stems from the human heart, from genuine emotions, and from the noble spirit of sacrificing oneself for truth and peace. This makes it easier for today's readers to understand the essence of history and the radiance of humanity.
Because it showcases this war tenderness that transcends time and borders, Flying Tiger Moon Flower stands out as a unique highlight among numerous war-themed works. Among the works to date, most describe the cruelty and bloodshed of war, with few like the biography Flying Tiger Moon Flower presenting such a calm and composed, yet heartfelt narrative. It attracts and moves readers with sincerity, true love, and genuine beauty. It is precisely this sincerity, true love, and genuine beauty, combined with its unique and realistic background of the anti-Fascist war, the Flying Tigers, the Hump Route, and China-US friendship, that brings the memories of that distant era to life. It allows us to see a group of young Chinese and Americans who, in the years of human peril, wholeheartedly devoted themselves to the flames of the anti-Fascist war. Their noble sentiments and great spirit of sacrifice not only deeply move us but also reveal the true and beautiful lives hidden within the Chinese and American people. In today's materialistic and idealistic era, the insights it offers are profound and immense. This makes Flying Tiger Moon Flower possess historical value and aesthetic quality that surpasses other similar biographical works. Such a work is both for history and for the future.
