Features: Sun Under the Sun tells the story of the lives of four young teachers in a rural primary school. They all face wages, financial hardship, housing difficulties, sexual frustration, and concerns about the future. Because the author records his own personal experiences, the lives of the primary school teachers depicted in the novel are full of texture. The novel offers a calm yet painful satire of the social anomalies; its portrayal of youthful desires is quite realistic yet pure, with vibrant brushstrokes and simple narration, painting the joys and sorrows, the rise and fall of the youth of cultural figures in small towns. The term "80s Generation" originally referred to a group of writers born between 1980 and 1989. While the quality of their novels may vary, their writing style is undoubtedly diverse. The publishing industry and media have adopted the term "80s Generation" as a convention. Wen Wei Press has just published the 80s Ecology Literature Series, featuring five debut novels. Hei Tiancai and Feng Tao, who wander the world and rely on the internet for communication, are among them. Hei Tiancai's The Filthy records his personal experience of a period of homelessness, and he is now teaching in a rural primary school in Anhui. As he says in the novel: I can only continue to wander, waiting to stay in any place where there is gold. Feng Tao, the author of The Key in the Sunlight on the Railings, was once a music enthusiast, but after graduation, he chose writing. He now lives in the suburbs of Hangzhou, quietly writing stories that boil in his heart, and after finishing a part, he walks from south to north, in a self-abusive manner, observing the world as he sees it. Sun Under the Sun is filled with the anger, helplessness, and self-mockery after the collapse of sacred life ideals; Embers of Fireworks is scattered with fragments of youthful love, as they all leave after reflecting on their pain, yet the lingering confusion of youth still follows them. Lily Grows Wings and Flies is the only work by a female author among the five novels, and it is extremely pure and beautiful. It tells the love story of a dance girl who has lost the ability to speak, as if a lily in the dark night blooms, ultimately shining its pure white light on every heart that wanders and struggles in the darkness. Indeed, these five works show the clumsiness of beginners, with some flaws, but you cannot ignore their expression of the micro, marginal, and original life flavor of China, nor can you be unmoved by it. They are obsessed with love, but this love far exceeds the physiological needs of youthful desire and is instead intertwined with the pursuit of life. Rather than writing about the restlessness of youth, they remember the struggle of youthful life.
