Features: Minbao was the most famous publication created by the bourgeois revolutionary faction of China, serving as the official newspaper of the Tongmenghui. It was first launched on November 26, 1905, in Tokyo, Japan, with its predecessor being China of the 20th Century. Initially a monthly publication, it later changed to irregular publication. Minbao emerged in response to the rapidly developing revolutionary situation and the practical needs of the struggle. From the very beginning, it appeared on the political stage with a militant and critical stance, fully promoting the labor protection program of the Tongmenghui—"expel the Manchus, restore China, establish a republic, and equalize land rights," and elucidating the core of Sun Yat-sen's Three Principles of the People. It clearly put forward the program for establishing a democratic republic.
