Is there a swollen thing on the right testicle? Is it serious?

Patient's question:

There's a swollen thing on the right testicle, but not on the left. Also, the right scrotum has radiating discomfort. I can't really describe that uncomfortable feeling, and the texture feels different when touched. It's not constant discomfort, but rather comes and goes at certain times. After a good night's sleep, it's normal, but by the afternoon, discomfort starts to set in. It's been going on for 3 months now. I've had many detailed ultrasound checks in between, and the results showed small cysts at the head of both epididymides, with nothing else significant. What I want to know is what the two things on the right testicle are and if it's serious?

Doctor's answer:

This cyst is also a benign tumor. We recommend follow-up for timely treatment, as your symptoms may also be related. Generally, we still suggest careful observation. For larger cases, surgical treatment is more effective, while smaller ones are not a problem and can be managed with symptomatic treatment. It's best to consult a specialized hospital in your area. Testicular conditions tend to recur, requiring long-term medication treatment. For male patients, it's important to seek professional and regular medical care promptly, and treatment should be considered based on examination results. Additionally, proper diet and abstinence from sexual activity should be maintained.
