Features: The ambition of constructing social psychology theory has always been overshadowed by a narrow pursuit of empirical research and a fetishistic obsession with methodological refinement. It stems from the fragmentation of disciplinary theory, institutional segmentation, and the hierarchical stratification of disciplinary symbolic power. This book takes the fundamental questions of social psychology—such as the evolution, function, mechanisms, and development of social behavior—as its core. It integrates theoretical resources from different research orientations and related disciplines, logically and genealogically stripping away the biological, cultural, and social qualities of the bearers and subjects of social behavior—i.e., the social actor—revealing the tripartite unity of the biological actor, cultural actor, and social agent as the conceptual framework for constructing a unified theory of social behavior.
