Features: Jiang Wenye began his musical composition career in the 1930s and continued until the late 1970s. Over more than three decades of creative life, it is estimated that he composed over 130 musical works, including 22 orchestral pieces, 11 chamber music works, 33 piano compositions, 6 ballet scores, 3 operas, 14 choral works, 24 solo songs, 12 religious music pieces, and 7 other genres of music. Although these piano works were completed before 1953, they reflect the evolution of his musical creative style throughout his life. The 18 piano works published in this collection were either published in Japan in the 1930s, published in Beijing in the 1980s, or first published in this piano composition collection. Jiang Wenye's piano music is incredibly diverse: his works are both avant-garde and traditional, representing both the continuation and innovation of tradition. Therefore, they should be included in the treasure trove of traditional Chinese music. They have enriched the piano repertoire of our country and made Chinese musical composition more diverse and vibrant.
