Over 50 experts and scholars from China and abroad who specialize in U.S. economic research attended the meeting. The conference conducted in-depth discussions on the status and role of China's and the U.S.'s economies in the global economy, as well as the complementary relationship, shared interests, cooperation trends, and challenges faced by the two economies. The symposium collected a total of 46 papers, reflecting the latest achievements in the study of the U.S. economy and China-U.S. economic relations in China. In the future, the National Association of American Economic Studies and the Pudong American Economic Research Center will conduct further in-depth research on several key issues related to the U.S. economy and China-U.S. economic trade, such as technical barriers, intellectual property protection, mergers and acquisitions between U.S. and Chinese enterprises, and cooperation between China and the U.S. in the financial services sector. At the same time, the symposium also addressed and elaborated on issues such as the impact of the China-U.S. economies on third countries and cooperation between the two nations in international economic organizations. As a compilation of the symposium's outcomes, this book marks the beginning of collaboration between the Global Association of American Economic Studies and the Pudong American Economic Research Center.
