Features: Chinese women have never seen such a time of outstanding talent and vibrant spirit, nor have they ever been so confused and bewildered. Reform and opening-up is a great social transformation, with its impact so profound that it touches every aspect of people's lives. Accounting for half of the population, Chinese women, whether consciously or unconsciously, have been swept into the tide of reform to varying degrees, experiencing the shock and baptism of modernization. The women's hotline is a product of modernization and a form of social assistance. Its growth and development in China are a response to the needs of modernization. I believe that as reform and opening-up deepens and the process of modernization accelerates, women's hotlines will flourish and develop vigorously across the country. Moreover, not only will women's hotlines thrive, but various forms of social assistance for women will also flourish. I look forward to the emergence of more innovative social assistance models that suit China's context, such as mutual aid, peer support, and self-help. To help more women find understanding and support through the hotlines and address issues like insufficient lines and difficulties in making calls, we have specially selected common problems from the hotlines and compiled the Women's Hotline Series. We hope that this series, like the women's hotlines themselves, will be widely welcomed by women, and we also hope for care and guidance from all sectors of society.
