Features: "The Rule of Law in the Context of Globalization" is the final outcome of the National Social Science Fund of China's 15th Key Project "The Rule of Law in the Context of Globalization," which I led, and the major project "WTO and Legal Globalization Research" of the Theoretical Law Research Base of Jilin University under the Ministry of Education. This book is a continuation of "The Framework and Methods of Comparative Sociology of Law—Legalization, Localization, and Globalization" (National Social Science Fund of China's 9th Five-Year Key Project, China Renmin University Press, 2001), published in 2001. Compared to "The Framework and Methods of Comparative Sociology of Law," "The Rule of Law in the Context of Globalization" proposes the following new perspectives and questions:
● Focus on different practical fields, including legal issues raised in the global economy, politics, culture, and society.
● At the general theoretical level, generalize the theories behind the practices, attempting to explore the general theory of law and globalization from the concept of "global governance."
● Propose an overall concept of mutual dependence between the global legal development center and periphery from the perspective of global history.
● From a global perspective and by combining domestic law with international law, propose the historical stages of the development of the rule of law state: pre-rule of law state, rule of law state, and post-rule of law state.
