Features: This selection was first published in the 1990s. During the compilation process, it received help and inspiration from many colleagues in the film studies field. It can be said that it is the fruit of the passion for film theory in the 1980s. The initial edition of "The Anthology" paid special attention to compiling important texts of 20th-century world film theory, and its framework divided the content into two major stages: classics and modernity. The second edition did not make structural adjustments but only made some revisions and additions based on the original version. Certain chapters were revised. Additionally, the translation of some specific terms in certain articles was also corrected.
