Features: The Collected Lectures on Humanities·Chinese Culture and Globalization is published by Sujiaoshe, imbued with the heartfelt passion of leading scholars in contemporary Chinese academia, holding high academic value and social significance. The topics are directly derived from the lectures. The birth of this Collected Lectures on Humanities stems from an unprecedented humanities academic lecture series—the Lecture Hall of Centennial Celebration of Southeast University in the early 21st century, becoming a precious witness in the history of Chinese academia. These lectures embody the insights accumulated over years or even a lifetime of research by scholars. Often, they are delivered with thorough preparation, integrating comprehensive knowledge and spontaneous improvisation, employing rich materials to explain profound academic issues in an accessible manner, making them highly engaging to read. Truly, it is a treasure trove of essence and diversity. To broaden the impact of this humanities spectacle and these cultural resources rich in profound insights and sharp thinking, enabling more readers to engage in reflection, exploration, and exchange, the organizers established an editorial committee to compile this Collected Lectures on Humanities. When planning this series, emphasis was placed on its humanities content, with the selected lectures strictly limited to the fields of literature, history, philosophy, and art. Centered around the lectures of the Lecture Hall of Centennial Celebration of Southeast University, it also includes some outstanding humanities lectures from Peking University, Tsinghua University, and The Chinese University of Hong Kong. It can be said that this Collected Lectures on Humanities embodies the academic essence of China's outstanding humanities scholars, containing their earnest hopes for the younger generation of scholars. Renowned sociologist Fei Xiaotong, at the age of 93, happily accepted the appointment as the Chief Consultant for the Collected Lectures on Humanities series. The Chief Consultant, renowned national studies master Ji Xianlin of Peking University, sent a scroll inscribed with "Spring Rain Nurtures Talent" and a lecture titled Sakuntala delivered at Peking University. Renowned philosopher Zhang Dainian provided his early lecture The Basic Spirit of Chinese Culture for inclusion in the series and was appointed as the Chief Consultant. Renowned scholar Qian Zhonglian, at the age of 95, wrote a preface titled "Nurturing Talent and Strengthening the Nation, with a Timeless Legacy" for the series. Renowned national studies master Rao Zongyi of The Chinese University of Hong Kong's China Culture Center, as well as a group of distinguished scholars including Wang Yuanhua, Zhang Xinggang, and Tang Yijie, were invited to serve as consultants for the Collected Lectures on Humanities.
