Features: Thunderstorm possesses a poetic beauty. This is not merely derived from the elegance of the language, as many passages are repeatedly recited by people, nor is it solely from the poetic nature of the characters. Or one could say, it is all of these combined, including stage directions, character analyses, summarized and then elevated into a metaphysical quality and taste. Historically, researchers have defined Thunderstorm as a "poetic drama."
