Features: The research objects of music archaeology are the material cultural relics of ancient human music, such as musical instruments, musical scores, musical inscriptions, and musical images. These material relics contain rich musical cultural connotations. They can either fill the gaps or correct the errors in historical records, or they can be mutually verified with documented records. Therefore, compared to traditional historical documents, the research objects of music archaeology can be regarded as a series of "underground musical texts" that require interpretation, possessing significant historical value. This collection includes 36 previously published articles, of which the majority (27) involve unearthed musical instruments. Additionally, 4 articles discuss theories and methods of music archaeology, while 5 articles explore ancient musical cultures using unearthed instruments and related archaeological materials. In arranging the articles, they are generally ordered by the original publication dates to examine the author's historical traces of academic exploration. Now, it appears that some materials in the articles have become outdated, and the author's academic views have also undergone some changes. However, when compiling this collection, only the minor errors caused by formatting and proofreading at the time were corrected, while the rest remained unchanged without additional supplements or revisions. It should be noted that in the article "Manufacturing Techniques and Scale Composition of Pre-Han Dizi," the original published version omitted the annotations, yet the last footnote number was retained in the main text. In this supplementary collection, the annotations for this article have been fully added to restore its original form.
