Features: On a day in late 2005, an editor from China Textile Publishing House found the author and wanted to do something for the heating-up art college entrance exams. Thus, the idea of a book introducing the current state of Beijing's art college entrance exam tutoring classes was conceived. This serves as a valuable reference for candidates and parents nationwide. The emergence of art classes undoubtedly fills the inherent shortcomings of high school art education and the severely outdated educational philosophy, avoiding the serious disconnect between the requirements of art universities and the abilities of applicants. Before writing, I and my assistants thoroughly investigated over 100 art training classes in Beijing, both large and small. Having a fixed location and a business license were the basic conditions for participating in the book's promotion. On this basis, we verified the student enrollment and college admission rates of each studio to ensure that the selected studios were as representative as possible and had a certain level of credibility. It should be emphasized that these studios account for about 70% of the enrollment in the (sculpture) major at the Central Academy of Fine Arts each year, while the design major is even more astonishingly over 90%. These studios have made outstanding contributions to China's art education and have provided training grounds for a broader range of students to develop "creativity." The results achieved by these hardworking classes will become apparent in the near future.
