Features: The writing style of this book follows the standard chapters, sections, and clauses, explaining each point in detail. The chapters, sections, and clauses in the book correspond to those in the standard but are not identical. Due to the extensive content in many chapters and sections, additional sub-clauses and items have been added for clarity. Therefore, readers are advised to refer to the standard while reading this book to facilitate better understanding and comprehension.
Secondly, this book is not a textbook but serves as a reference for boiler professionals and individuals with some experience in boiler testing. It is intended to help clarify certain clauses when reading the standard or conducting tests. As a result, in-depth theoretical discussions have been omitted. As long as readers can correctly understand the clause requirements and strictly follow the stipulations, they will be able to conduct tests effectively and obtain reliable data. Thus, we have adopted a concise approach, elaborating only when necessary.
The layout follows the standard format: the main text comes first, followed by tables, and then appendices. To help readers understand the differences between China's standard GB/T10180—1988 and those of the UK, Germany, and Japan, comparative materials have been included. Additionally, test reports for several types of furnaces and fuels are provided as case studies. These reports are relatively standardized and can serve as references for test personnel when compiling their own reports.
The case studies include several different types of test reports, each with a table of contents on the first page. Since the content is the same, the table of contents has been omitted from the subsequent reports. Similarly, the cover page, title page, and illustrations have been removed.
