Features: With the rapid development of international trade and the process of economic globalization, the role of international standards in international trade and exchange has become increasingly important. To expand our country's foreign trade and reduce technical barriers in trade, it is imperative to formulate our national standards based on international standards. Adhering to the principles and methods of adopting international standards in line with international unified standards is the only way to ensure that the results are recognized internationally. For this purpose, the former National Administration for Quality and Technical Supervision commissioned the China Standardization Research Center to develop GB/T 20000.2-2001 "Guidelines for Standardization Work Part 2: Rules for Adopting International Standards" based on ISO/IEC Guide 21:1999 "Adoption of International Standards as Regional or National Standards." This standard was approved and published on April 9, 2001, and implemented on October 1, 2001. The implementation of GB/T 20000.2-2001 will standardize the writing of our national standards that adopt international standards, ensure that they comply with the new international criteria, gain recognition from countries around the world, and thereby promote trade and exchange. To guide relevant personnel in correctly understanding and using GB/T 20000.2-2001, under the arrangement of the China National Standards Administration, we organized the main drafters of this standard to write the implementation guide for GB/T 20000.2-2001 "Guidelines for Standardization Work Part 2: Rules for Adopting International Standards." This book strives to clearly explain the differences in the degree of consistency between new and old international standards, provide detailed descriptions of the classification of consistency with international standards, the methods for adopting international standards, technical differences, and the identification of editorial amendments, and offers examples as much as possible to enhance the operability of the standard.
