Huang Yongyu is an outstanding painter, and his literary works, such as essays, possess exceptional artistic appeal. This book is an art travelogue and essay collection written during his time abroad, meticulously compiled and published by the Sanlian Bookstore in 1999 in anticipation of the Huang Yongyu Art Exhibition. Each essay is accompanied by dozens of oil paintings, watercolors, and other artworks by Mr. Huang Yongyu, adding vivid color to the book. Reading these travelogues, we feel as if we are walking alongside the painter along the Seine, following in the footsteps of the Impressionist masters of yore, arriving in the picturesque homeland of Van Gogh, and joining the painter in reverently visiting the birthplace of the Renaissance master Leonardo da Vinci, breathing in the intoxicating air that still lingers.
