Features: This manual consists of five parts. Part 1 briefly introduces the designation methods for steel and alloy grades in 10 major steel-producing countries and regions worldwide. Part 2 provides a detailed introduction to the commonly used carbon and alloy steel grades in 25 countries and regions, including China, Europe, ISO/IEC, the United States, Japan, Germany, France, Russia, South Korea, Italy, Canada, and Brazil. These are categorized into four major groups: structural and engineering steels, reinforcing steels, tool and bearing steels, and stainless and heat-resistant steels. Each group lists the bar, section, plate, strip, tube, wire, and forging/casting grades along with their chemical compositions from 1,100 standards. Part 3 lists 1,300 steel and alloy grades from the United States, Germany, Russia, and France, which are no longer included in current standards but are still widely used. These grades fill practical gaps in applications. Part 4 lists commonly used steel and alloy grades for various purposes, along with a comparison of Chinese, German, Japanese, and other national grades with their counterparts in other countries. Part 5 introduces the main production equipment and products of 76 steel producers in China, as well as the main products of 85 foreign steel producers. It also includes recent steel and iron production figures from various countries and the status of China's import and export of metallurgical products. This manual has two main features: First, the data is up-to-date, comprehensive, and detailed, making it highly practical. Readers can quickly obtain information on steel and alloy grades, compositions, properties, applications, and comparisons from different countries. Second, the book lists numerous distinctive foreign steel and alloy grades and varieties, which readers can also study and utilize.
