Author: Ge Zhaoguang
Publisher:
Publish Date: 2006-04-01
Features: The essays and reviews collected in this book, except for one article titled "The Gateway to the Profound Mysteries" published over a decade ago, were all written in recent years. Based on my understanding of the publisher's intention in compiling this collection, it should not be a retrospective of my academic journey in historical studies, turning it into a personal academic biography, but rather an introduction to the valuable research I have conducted in the field of history. Therefore, I have strived to select new essays that reflect my current thoughts and ideas. This is the Ge Zhaoguang volume in the "Contemporary Chinese Historians Collection." Ge Zhaoguang is a professor at the Department of History, Tsinghua University, and a member of the University Council and the Professor Nomination Committee of Tsinghua University. He also serves as an academic advisor at the Center for Ancient Chinese Documents, Peking University, and the Research Center for Ancient Chinese Literature, Fudan University. Additionally, he has held visiting professor positions at Kyoto University in Japan, City University of Hong Kong, Louvain University in Belgium, and National Taiwan University. This book collects his essays and reviews published in recent years, reviews his academic journey in historical studies, and introduces his valuable research in the field of history.
