The first issue under the new publication number was launched in October 2003, presenting Architect with a completely new appearance. Its layout design, binding, and printing have reached first-class domestic standards, but its long-standing editorial principles remain unchanged, making it still a major comprehensive architectural theory journal in China. The first issue under the new publication number features a "Spatial Issue," a carefully curated topic by the Architect magazine team. This issue offers a review of the development of world architectural spatial theory in the 20th century, with some articles contributed by emerging academic talents in the field, presenting innovative perspectives worth highlighting. Moving forward, Architect will focus more on cutting-edge architectural theory, comprehensively reflecting the latest developments in domestic and international architectural theory as well as related architectural design achievements. Additionally, Architect will periodically feature columns to report on important theoretical trends or comprehensive architectural events in the domestic and international architectural fields from multiple perspectives, introducing outstanding works and design philosophies of architects from around the world. Architect will truly become a trusted mentor and companion for architects in China.
