Author: None
Publisher: China Architecture & Building Press
Publish Date: 2006-10-01
Features: In its 24th year of publication, Architect successfully obtained its publication number, marking a new era where its distribution would adhere strictly to journal standards. The first issue under the new number was launched in October 2003, presenting Architect with a fresh appearance. Its layout design, binding, and printing have reached first-class domestic standards, yet its core editorial mission remains unchanged—serving as a major comprehensive architectural theory journal in China. The launch of the new publication number featured a special "Space Issue," a carefully curated selection by the Architect magazine team. This issue offers a retrospective on the development of 20th-century world architectural space theory, with some articles contributed by emerging academic talents in the field, presenting innovative perspectives worth highlighting. Moving forward, Architect will place greater emphasis on cutting-edge architectural theory, comprehensively reflecting the latest trends in domestic and international architectural thought, as well as related design achievements. The journal will also periodically feature columns that report on significant theoretical directions or comprehensive architectural events in the global architectural community from multiple angles, introducing outstanding works and design philosophies by architects from around the world. Architect will truly become a trusted mentor and companion for architects in China.
