It teaches the structure, properties, and important organic compounds related to medicine according to the functional group system, emphasizing the structural characteristics and the relationship between structure and properties of various organic compounds, laying a solid foundation for students to study subsequent courses such as Medicinal Chemistry and Natural Product Chemistry. For complex organic reaction mechanisms with strong theoretical content, they are appropriately deleted and simplified to help students understand and memorize the reactions. Considering the professional characteristics of students, the content of "Chapter 15: Terpenes and Steroids" is strengthened, and "Chapter 17: Introduction to Organic Synthesis" is arranged. The introduction to organic synthesis not only provides a simple overview of organic synthesis but also analyzes and explains some drug synthesis methods based on the organic reactions discussed in this book. Our goal is to help students further understand the relationship between organic chemistry and pharmacy, recognize the importance of organic chemistry for the pharmacy major, and review the key reactions in this book through this chapter. The textual description of "Organic Chemistry" is concise, specific, highlights key points, and is easy to understand, avoiding lengthy explanations.
