Features: In accordance with the requirements of the "Notice on Issuing the Plan for Formulation and Revision of Engineering Construction Standards and Specifications in 1998 (Second Batch)" (Jiabiao [1998] 224), formulated jointly by the Office of the Capital Urban Planning and Construction Commission and relevant departments, the "Code for Geotechnical Investigation of Underground Railways and Light Rail Transit" and the "Code for Engineering Surveying of Underground Railways and Light Rail Transit" have been reviewed by relevant departments and approved as mandatory national standards. The respective codes are GB50307-1999 and GB50308-1999, and they shall come into effect on June 1, 2000.
