Features: This standard is a national standard and has been implemented since August 1, 2003. The mandatory provisions of the original "Design Code for Underground Railways" GB50157-92 and the original "Design Code for Underground Railways" GB50157-92 have been abolished simultaneously. This standard is based on the original 13 chapters and has been expanded to 23 chapters with 4 appendices added. The new content includes operation organization, A-type vehicle clearance, elevated structures, environmental and equipment monitoring systems, automatic ticketing systems, environmental protection, and other content. Many provisions of the original chapters have also been expanded and deepened in line with the times. At the same time, based on expert suggestions and widespread recognition, the name of this standard has now been simplified to "Metro Design Code." This standard is applicable to the new engineering design of metro systems using steel-wheel and steel-rail systems. The design of metro projects for renovation, expansion, and with a maximum operating speed exceeding 100 km/h, as well as other types of urban rail transit similar projects, can be referred to for implementation.
