Features: Since its publication in 1998, the "Standard Collection of Insulation (Thermal Insulation) Materials and Applied Engineering" has been well-received by engineering and technical personnel and management staff engaged in energy conservation work across various industrial sectors, enterprises, public institutions, scientific research and design institutes, and universities. It has provided convenient access to information and guidance for their work. With the rapid development of the international and domestic insulation and thermal insulation material industries, and in response to the National Standardization Administration Committee's requirement to quickly transform advanced international and foreign national standards into domestic standards, the insulation (thermal insulation) material standards have undergone significant changes in recent years. Relevant standardization professional institutions have formulated numerous new national and industry standards based on the production and usage of insulation materials domestically and internationally, while also revising and reaffirming a substantial portion of existing standards.
For this purpose, the Building Materials Industry Technology Supervision Research Center (formerly the Standardization Research Institute of the National Building Materials Administration) and the Second Editorial Office of China Standard Press have jointly organized, collected, and compiled this book. The collection includes 61 current national standards and 20 industry standards as of the end of 2003. It retains the classification system of the 1998 edition, categorizing standards into "Insulation (Thermal Insulation) Material Applied Engineering," "Insulation (Thermal Insulation) Materials," and "Test Methods for Insulation (Thermal Insulation) Material Properties." Among them, there are 5 standards for insulation (thermal insulation) material applied engineering, 33 standards for insulation (thermal insulation) materials, 8 standards for test methods for thermal conductivity and thermal resistance, 10 standards for test methods for combustion performance, and 20 standards for test methods for other properties. The collection is reasonably categorized and user-friendly. The target readership includes production technology personnel, researchers, and management staff engaged in the production, design, construction, engineering application, and quality inspection of insulation (thermal insulation) materials.
The attributes of the national and industry standards collected in this book are indicated in the table of contents (GB or GB/T, JC or JC/T). The year designations are expressed using four digits. Some standards were published before the national standard cleanup and revision, and thus have not been updated. As a result, the text of these standards remains unchanged. When using these standards, readers should refer to the attributes indicated in the table of contents. The attributes of standards cited in the "Referenced Standards" or "Normative References" sections should be carefully checked by readers. No changes have been made to the quantities and units. GB/T 10800—1989 has been replaced by QB/T 3806—1999, but it has not been re-published, so the text remains unchanged. In the table of contents of this collection, industry standards with "（1996）" appended to their year designations indicate that these standards were reaffirmed in 1996 but have not been re-published.
