Features: If the "Geotextile Bag Method" is traced back to the second batch of geotextile bags developed by the American Construction Technology Company in 1960, it has only a history of over 40 years. Since the first application of geotextile bags in the embankment protection project of the Changjiang River at Simawa in Jiangsu Province, China, in 1974, it has only been more than 30 years. However, the method has been widely adopted in inland lakes, reservoirs, and coastal areas from Heilongjiang Province in the north to Guangdong Province in the south, from Fujian Province in the east to Shandong Province, and from Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region and Qinghai Province in the west. It is used for the protection of embankments in water conservancy, transportation energy, ecological and environmental protection, and other cultural and recreational facilities in arid, underwater, and sub-glacial areas, achieving economic, social, and ecological and environmental benefits. The book "Geotextile Bag Method" focuses on summarizing the experience of applying the method in embankment protection for water conservancy embankment projects after the 1998 flood, and combines typical cases of its application in transportation energy and ecological and environmental protection to elevate the geotextile bag method to a certain theoretical level.
