Features: The "First Architecture Multimedia Courseware Competition Award Series" was launched to adapt to the rapid popularization and development of computer network and multimedia technology in teaching, promoting the development, production, and application of architecture multimedia courseware. Co-organized by the China Construction Education Association and China Architecture & Building Press, the competition introduced a series of award-winning courseware CDs, each accompanied by one courseware instruction manual. The series covers multiple fundamental and professional courses in the field of architecture. The design and presentation styles are diverse, closely integrated with teaching, user-friendly, and highly interactive, making them suitable for teachers to assist classroom instruction and for students to use as supplementary learning tools.
The main framework of the "Principles of Steel Structure Design" multimedia courseware was developed using VB6.0. It includes electronic lecture notes for 6 chapters, each featuring syllabus requirements, teaching activities, and three sets of sample problems with examples. Based on years of teaching experience by professional instructors and following the syllabus requirements, the courseware systematically summarizes theoretical content and incorporates hundreds of photographs and self-drawn illustrations of steel structures from both domestic and international sources. The content is rich, straightforward, and highly practical. The courseware is not only suitable for teaching but also serves as an excellent supplementary tool for self-study.
This CD can be used as a multimedia teaching aid for the steel structure course in civil engineering and architecture programs, or as a reference for related engineering professionals.
